Full Bore Ball Valve

Full Bore Ball Valve

SKU: 005

Product Description: Ball valves are mechanical devices used to control the flow of fluids or gases by utilizing a spherical ball with a bore (hole) through its center.

Full Bore or Reduced Bore: Ball valves can be full bore or reduced bore. Full bore valves have a ball with a bore diameter equal to the pipeline diameter, allowing maximum flow capacity. Reduced bore valves have a smaller ball bore diameter than the pipeline diameter, which reduces the flow capacity but can lower the cost of the valve.

Floating or Trunnion Design: Ball valves can have a floating or trunnion design. In floating ball valves, the ball is held in place by the pressure of the fluid. In trunnion-mounted ball valves, the ball is supported by trunnions or stems at the top and bottom, providing additional stability and enabling the valve to handle higher pressure and larger pipe sizes.

Fields of Application: Ball valves are used in various industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and utilities. They are employed in natural gas pipelines, distribution networks, storage facilities, processing plants, and residential or commercial gas supply systems. The selection of the appropriate ball valve depends on factors such as pressure rating, pipe size, temperature range, material compatibility, and specific application requirements.

Pressure Class: PN10-PN16-PN25-PN40.

Working Temp. Max: -29 / +180°C.

Body: At AccessX the body of this type of valve is available in Cast Iron (GG25-ENJL1040), Ductile Iron (GGG40.3-EN JS1049), Cast Steel (GP 240 GH/GS-C25), A216WCB etc.

Operation: Ball valves can be manually operated or equipped with various actuation mechanisms for remote or automated control. Actuation options include lever handles, gear operators, pneumatic actuators, electric actuators, or hydraulic actuators. Actuation allows for easier operation and control of the valve.

Relevant Standards: DIN2401, DIN2501, DIN EN1092, DIN2534(PN25), DIN3202-F1(DN15-100), DIN EN558-1, DIN3202-F7(DN125-250), DIN EN558-1, DIN2545(PN40), DIN2999, DIN EN10226-1, DIN3202-M3, DIN3202-F4, DIN3202-F5, ASME B16.5, ASME B16.10.
